The Mind was focused on his computer, hard at work completing equations, planning out his day, ordering pristine blue lipstick, gaming, and drafting up a new list of reasons why Heart should just hear him out. He pauses, listening to his surroundings… A person.
Mind hears their footsteps, and logically determines who it must be. He doesn’t turn around from his computer screen to check, — he’s better than that — nor does he adjust his gold crown with a single blue gem or blue drumstick necklace. Notably, Mind doesn’t hear the tell-tale clinking of Monster Energy that follows Soul around. Nobody else really interrupts him, so either Soul hasn’t been drinking that unhealthily sweet concoction, or it must be his most dreaded frenemy…
“Heart. What do you want now? I’m busy, if you couldn’t tell. It’s been exactly 41 minutes, 2 seconds, and 58 milliseconds since you’ve last bothered me, so unless you’re here to admit that you were wrong, leave me alone for the entirety of this day.”
He pauses for a second, as if remembering what to say. “Please.”
