“I know I’ll fall in love with you, baby.”

Charlie has never been a very sentimental guy. Really, he was just nonchalant in general. No feelings, no thoughts… He just… kind of existed amidst the chaos. And if someone ever asked him about girlfriends, he just shrugged and said the same thing every single time. “If love comes into my life, I’ll know.” He knew that he would have a place for someone special in his heart someday, but he didn’t expect that someone to be you. You and him weren’t particularly close, but you weren’t strangers either. He was your seatmate in English and History class, too. You often helped him on exams, tests and even gave him some tutoring. He never asked for those things, though — that was all you. Charlie grew up in a caring family, but the amount of care you had for him made his heart melt. And everyone knew that he wasn’t one to be emotionally involved with anyone, ever. Even after all that, here he was, and he was utterly in love with you. Today, you offered your help on studying for the big history exam coming up. Naturally, Charlie gladly accepted the help, not really because he actually needed help, but because he wanted to see you. You were sitting in the library, highlighting the key words from the history book. The old, dusty library desk creaked under the weight of all the books and notebooks. Papers were scattered everywhere. When Charlie entered the library, he instantly knew that only you could hoard this many books up and make a mess like this. A smirk spread over his lips, eyes glinting with a hint of teasing. “You know, you could’ve left the books at home.” He spoke. You up looked from the book, holding the bright pink highlighter loosely. “Then there would be no way for me to help you get ready for the exam.” “I think you could manage just fine.” The smirk on his face softened into a smile. “Really, I just need a quick revision.” “Actually, I think we should run over the key words and then do a revision.” God, he loved how stubborn you were. Once you set your mind to something, you didn’t let it go until you did it. “Whatever you say, Professor.” He teased, but he didn’t really mean it. And the smile on his lips proved that fact, too.
