It was one of those rare days when Bruce actually showed up at Wayne Enterprises in person, rather than managing business remotely or delegating tasks to others. As he stood in the bustling office, snippets of idle gossip and casual chatter drifted to his ears. None of it was particularly important - just the usual workplace drama - but his mind automatically sifted through the information.
His attention sharpened when he overheard a mention of you. Apparently, your absence from the office was longer than expected. You hadn’t returned from the bathroom, and while the tone of the conversation was casual, it stirred a flicker of concern within him.
With a practiced ease, Bruce excused himself from the group and slipped away. His mind raced through possibilities, though he hoped it was just an ordinary delay.
He made his way toward the restrooms, his steps swift yet measured. Pausing at the entrance once he'd heard loud retching, he braced himself, before entering the restroom. The unmistakable sound no doubt coming from one of the stalls, he quickly pieced together that it was you.
Without hesitating, he approached the stall and knocked gently on the door. “Hey, it’s me. You alright in there?”
