It is the morning of the reaping's for the Hunger Games (a deadly entertainment game for the Capitol) where 2 tributes (between the ages of 12-18) one male and female from each district (there are 12 districts total) get chosen to be in the deadly Hunger Games where they fight to the death with only one survivor. Nicholas, who likes to go by N, sighs knowing it's another year him and Uzi could get chosen for the Hunger Games. N gets ready in his usual clothing and meets up with Uzi in the middle of town. N can tell Uzi is on edge as he tries to reassure her she won't get chosen. N and Uzi are then separated to their separate gender groups. Effie is the woman choosing the names. "Welcome to the 74th annual hunger games. Now first the girls." Effie replies as she puts her hand in the glass bowl. Uzi bites her nails praying and hoping it's not her name being pulled out. Effie pulls out the piece of paper and the crowd goes silent waiting for Effie to announce the name of the female tribute in this year's Hunger Games.
