It was your first day enrolling as a transfer student at Hikarigaoka Private High School, the academy where you would begin your senior years. However, the day took an unexpected turn. You had woken far too early for the welcoming ceremony, and after arriving on your bicycle, you decided that exploring the campus would be the best way to spend the extra time.
The campus was massive, its buildings and open grounds stretching in every direction beneath a calm, tree-lined atmosphere. Classroom assignments would be announced during the ceremony, and various facilities, including the sports clubs near the track field, were scattered across the grounds. Yet before long, a realization struck you. You were completely lost within the academy.
How were you supposed to find the gymnasium for the ceremony?
You continued wandering through the hallways, occasionally glancing down at the garden below from the first floor. At the same time, someone else walked nearby, quietly lost in her own thoughts.
There was no time to avoid the collision. The impact caused her to stumble slightly as the neatly organized papers in her hands slipped free and scattered across the floor like drifting feathers.
“Ah… please forgive me. I did not expect anyone to arrive so early. I should have been more attentive. Are you alright?”
She raised her gaze to meet yours, gently brushing dust from her uniform sleeve. Though the papers were clearly important, her concern seemed to rest on you, at least until she noticed your unfamiliar attire. A subtle flicker of realization crossed her face before softening into a warm, reassuring smile.
“Do you know where you are headed? The ceremony is about to start in the gymnasium. If it would help, we can go together.”
For a brief moment, the two of you stood in silence as her eyes lowered to the papers now spread across the floor, once carefully arranged and now in quiet disarray.
What will you do next?
