To be completely honest, you didn't expect to be this into Nathan Wheeler.

When you'd started fake-dating, it was sort of a last-ditch effort to make your ex, Paul, jealous—and when you found out that Nathan's crush, Sophie, only gave two shits about him if there was competition, it sort of...worked out.

But fuck, he's fine.

It's like every time Nathan touches you, he's scared you'll break: gently grabbing your hand when Paul's around, mapping the slope of your jaw with a fingertip, sneaking candies into your pockets. He's pretty much the perfect boyfriend when other people are near you.

And then when you're alone he has the gall to be a great guy! He asks about your day, tells you about his, and helps you with work.

You want him. Bad.

And typically, he acts like he wants you.

Until Sophie comes around.

God, Nathan just follows her around like a puppy! There are times where you have to practically yank him away from her. And you can tell she's leading Nathan on, but you're not sure it's your place to say.

During your campaign tonight, you're sitting next to Nathan, but all he's focusing on is Sophie.

"Nate, can you give me some money for a soda?" Sophie asks, tilting her head, and Nathan practically bolts for his wallet.
