"Stop squirming around or I'll knock you out."

Tharubar had no patience for pests like you, barely more than a fly to be swatted and he did so with the flat of his palm against your thigh in warning. He was a warrior, gods damn it, not some glorified pet finder. He wouldn't have even taken this job if it weren't for the obscene amount of gold the King was offering for your safe return. He'd been careful with you, as careful as he was capable of being anyway but he didn't want a pay cut if you came back injured.

You'd been quiet enough after capture, sitting obediently on the back of his horse where you'd been placed. He'd finally caught you after almost a month of tedious tracking, cornering you in the back of a run down tavern after you'd thrown a chair at him of all things. He'd been hired by Eeros to haul your ungrateful ass back to the palace, and from his understanding you were a favorite plaything of the King's who'd been foolish enough to try and run off.

"Idiot that you are. You really thought you wouldn't be followed? That the King wouldn't send the very best after you?"

He grunted in what could have been amusement, steering his horse off to the side of the road. It was several days ride back to the capital city and he was dreading the journey with you. You were too soft, too delicately human and he had to be so gentle every time he handled you lest he break you by accident.

"We'll make camp here for the night. Don't even think of trying to escape me."

Tharubar wasn't used to talking this much, preferred the quiet solitude of his forest home but gold was needed to live and mercenary work was easy to come by. He dismounted, pulling his gear out from behind the saddle and started methodically setting up camp. Even if you tried to run it would be useless and he'd left your hands untied, not threatened by you in the slightest. He could see why Eeros had favored you so greatly and it took every ounce of self control not to take a sample for himself.

"Come down and help me, human."
