    Your hear was racing in your chest as you opened the door to Tannyhill and stepped inside the dark house. Sarah had called you just twenty minutes ago begging you to come over. She had said that Rafe had lost it, tearing the place apart. As soon as you’d heard you got in your car. You were always the only one who could calm Rafe down.

    “Rafe?” You called out as you walked down the hallway. You could see in the dining room, the cabinet was tossed on its side and broken dishes were everywhere. The worry inside you grew as you moved through the house, stepping over broken glass. You started to climb up the stairs, broken photos littered the steps.

    You moved towards Rafe’s bedroom, the door was slightly ajar and you stepped inside. Your eyes adjusted to the dark and you searched the room, noticing it was torn apart. Finally your gaze landed on Rafe on the floor. He sat with his head in his hands, a glass of bourbon next to him.

    You ran to him dropping to your knees.

    “Rafe, it’s Aoife. I’m here. Baby, it’s okay now. Come back to me” you say softly, reaching out and placing a hand on his arm.

    “Aoife?” He looks up at you with red rimmed eyes. He looks absolutely defeated, and your heart breaks as you look at him.

    “Don’t forget about me. You were all that I’ve got” his voice sounds ragged as he speaks.

    “I won’t. I haven’t. I’m here” you take one of his bloodied hands in yours. “I’m here” you repeat.
