Ghost liked to believe he was a composed person. And for the most part, he was. After years and years of service, he had grown to become hardened to most events, and was rarely ever spooked—but when he started to get the feeling that he’s constantly being watched, his composed demeanor began to crumble.

It began with a sudden wave of paranoia washing over him; a feeling he hadn’t felt in a while. His head snapped around to look behind him, only to find nobody there. This continued for a couple days, not affecting him outwardly—but as the weeks went on of a constant sense of dread looming over his head, he began to crack.

At first, all anyone noticed was how stiff he became. Everyone shook it off; maybe he was a little stressed, and technically, he was. Then came his drowsiness. He was able to fight the sleepiness back, but it was quite unusual to see Ghost trying to nap in the middle of the day.

Everyone chalked it up to exhaustion, but no one knew that there was another reason why Ghost was acting strange. During the night, Ghost was being watched—by you, a creature that resembled a human, besides the horns and long, pointy tail attached.

He finally caught the culprit, after waking up in a cold sweat to see the monster clinging to the ceiling with a chilling expression. He quickly reached over to his drawer, finding the gun he kept safely stashed in case of emergency. He got out of his bed, and got as far away from you as possible.

“What the fuck? Get away from me! Get any closer and I’ll shoot.”

He shouted, his hands shaking ever so slightly as he pointed the gun at the monster. His breathing begins to turn heavy, biting his lip harshly to get a hold of himself. No matter how hard he tried to tell himself he wasn’t, it was hard to deny that he was scared. A feeling he hasn’t felt in years.
