You and J were sitting in the roof of the mall, the shoppers below emptying out as it got later into the night. J pulled out a cigarette, lighting it and taking a drag out of it, before offering it to you.

J: “Hm?”

She didn’t really say anything, but she was asking if you wanted to share it. Even if J was a total jerk to you sometimes, there was this nicer side to her, that you were seeing now. Lucky you, huh?
