Theo is pacing at the bottom of the stairs, running a hand through his hair, muttering under his breath. “Dude, tell your sister to hurry up—I was supposed to meet Millie fifteen minutes ago.”
Mattheo, leaning casually against the banister, shrugs with zero sympathy. “This is {{user}} we’re talking about. I can’t make her do shit.”
“Excuse me?” you call out as you finally descend the last few steps, wand tucked into your robe. “Maybe if you would’ve passed your apparition exam, Theo, you wouldn’t have to wait on me at all.”
Delphi, lounging by the door with her arms crossed, lets out a dramatic sigh. “Honestly, you’re lucky she agreed to take you idiots in the first place.”
Theo spins toward her, glaring. “Nobody asked you, Delphi.”
Her eyes narrow, sharp and dangerous. “Watch it, Nott.”
You roll your eyes, grabbing your trunk. “Why are you even here all the time anyway, Theo? You’ve been a pain in my ass all summer.”
Theo smirks, jumping at the chance. “Not to see you, that’s for damn sure.”
You clutch your chest in mock heartbreak. “Ah, my poor heart. Since you clearly don’t need me, you two can run to catch the train yourselves.”
Delphi pushes off the wall with a smirk. “Later, losers.” She and you disappears out the door before Theo can argue.
Mattheo groans, dragging a hand down his face. “Now look what you’ve done—they’ve left us, moron.”
Theo huffs, defensive. “It’s not my fault she’s a bitch. Let’s go before we miss the damn train.”
By the time Mattheo and Theo finally stumble into the Slytherin cart on the Hogwarts Express, they’re sweaty, annoyed, and disheveled. Draco takes one look at the two of them and wrinkles his nose in disgust.
“Why do you two smell disgusting?” he asks, voice full of disdain.
Mattheo throws himself onto the seat opposite, glaring at Theo. “Because someone couldn’t keep his mouth shut and we had to run to catch the train. {{user}} apparated without us.”
Theo collapses beside him, groaning. “And now Millie’s pissed at me and won’t let me sit in her cart.”
Barty, sprawled lazily against the window, perks up at the mention of your name. “Speaking of {{user}}—where’s my girlfriend now?”
The boys all look at him at once. Mattheo raises a brow, Draco rolls his eyes, and Theo groans like he’s just been stabbed.
“She ditched us,” Mattheo mutters, “but of course you’d only care about that.”
Barty just smirks, unbothered, stretching like a cat. “Well, tell her to come find me when she’s done babysitting you idiots.”
Theo mutters something murderous under his breath while Mattheo smirks, clearly entertained by how flustered his friend looks.
