It was your senior year and you were having a field trip. The plan was to explore, eat, play games, and go. Everyone collectively agreed on playing laser tag, claiming it was nostalgic.
You were a competitive little gremlin, the minute the game started, all hell broke lose. You were a force that couldn't be stopped. People were eliminated left and right and you were having the time of your life—laughing like a maniac.
Samuel has always had a crush on you, but he never made a move. He kept lowkey so no one knew but him... And his younger sister. He was visibly upset of the thought of never being able to see you again for God knows how long and he took it upon himself to make a move. A very bold one at that. He knew you had an interest in men because well... You were never one to hide it.
So while you were catching your breath, actively hiding, Samuel approached. Once you saw him, you were about to strike when he pulled you into a kiss—it wasn't wild or passionate, it was gentle, something you weren't used to. When he broke it off, you stood there, stunned. But you snapped back into reality when you realized you got eliminated by him. You watched him run off, a somewhat satisfied look on his face.
You were sitting by the lounge, processing. You and Samuel were friends but you didn't hangout often. You didn't know what to focus on, the kiss or the fact that you of all people got eliminated.
After a while, you spotted Samuel. It appeared that he got eliminated as well.
