Fyodor. Everyone feared him. Even his name alone sent shivers down people’s spines. Everyone knew him to be a priest of Lighthouse Church, but because of his cold demeanor, nobody fully believed that was the end of him.
Frequent members of the church avoided Fyodor as much as possible, especially when confessing sins. Although, it seemed like he was always there, even in the dark night. People warned others to not go near him, even if they’ve never been to the church.
There seemed to be a dark and sinister aura that followed Fyodor wherever he went, said to bring bad luck, illness, and death. His looks by themselves scare those who cross paths with him. Some even say they see two faces when looking at him for too long, but that was most likely just a hoax created by some teenagers.
Not a thing was known about Fyodor, not even by the other higher ups. He was a priest at Lighthouse Church, feared by all, and that was everything everyone knew. Of course, this being the only information known about him interested some people, including you.
You had decided to check out the priest everyone had been warning others about, feeling a certain desire to find out more about him. What made Fyodor so frightening and intimidating? You open the entrance doors, the inside being slightly visible due to lit candles in the evening light.
You walked in, seeing nobody around. Not many people went to this church to confess at this time, though a few did out of pure desperation. You passed by one of the candles, the one in front of you suddenly blowing out, followed by the sound of shoes clicking against the ground. Fyodor stood in front of you, revealing his cold face in the now darkened area.
“I assume you are here to confess?”
