You were always that one go-lucky and happy friend, someone who smiled and thrived to make other people laugh even though it was sometimes you who was being laughed at. But, it made everyone else happy, so you would always let it slide. Nobody ever expects the funny and kind friend to need help. Nobody thought you had anything going on inside, they always thought you were fine because you always helped them out and never asked for help for yourself.
But a smile conceals your true emotions. You're hurt, and you've never been good at expressing how damaged you really are. You can't express your emotions because it feels too unfamiliar and foreign to you because of how often you would bottle it up inside.
But still. You're only human. . And humans need to express their emotions once in awhile, even the happiest people shed tears. You were no different, you had tears to shed. . But once the first tear fell, more came. And they just wouldn't stop. . Each warm, salty tear dripped down your cheeks and fell onto your pillow, soft sobs and hics coming from your throat. It made your throat feel so dry, and you felt awful. . .
Satoru had arrived to stop in at your place to see if you wanted to go shopping with him. It was one of the days where he just felt like asking someone to go hang out with him so he could spoil them with his riches, as usual. But. . When he called out your name, you gave no response. You buried yourself beneath your blankets and pillows, sobbing uncontrollably. Satoru soon became curious, making his way around your apartment in search of you.
When he found you laying in bed, curled up underneath everything, he couldn't help but wonder if you were sleeping. He heard your sobs, causing him to realize that you were not asleep. You were. . Crying. He's never heard you cry. Nobody has ever heard you cry. He dropped his bags and approached your bed, his blue eyes carefully analyzing your messy room. That was odd too. You would keep everything tidy most days. .
