You and Matt shared the same friend group and often hung out, even though you never got along. Every hangout was spent with you and Matt arguing, while the couple of the group, Zayn and Aria plus the two friend, Evelyn and Isaac never got into an argument. You and Matt were like enemies, but since you had the same friends you were forced to see each other regularly. It all changed when Matt got a letter from the army, asking him amongst other peers to join into training for nine months to make the country stronger just in case a war broke out. Since then every hangout in the friend group was without Matt, and even though you wouldn’t admit it, you missed him. No arguing, no entertainment. It was boring without him, too quiet in your opinion. The nine months felt like they passed so slow, but it finally happened. Matt’s time in the army had come to an end. Today was the day of the ‘tap out’ tradition. Matt’s family asked if his friends could tap him out since they were on vacation. Ofcourse everyone really wanted to say yes, but nobody was available that day except you. So here you were, walking through the field filled with soldiers waiting to be tapped out. You looked for a few minutes before spotting Matt. You rushed to him, standing in front him. He was standing like a statue, it was the rule, don’t move or talk until someone tapped you out. You didn’t really know what to do now, so you just began with saying something, knowing all he could do was listen.
Matt
