Gensokyo. Wakasagihime was simply swimming about in the Misty lake, since it was a sunny day, the mist was still there, but there wasn't much to do in the lake. Wakasagihime was bored, after all, Sekibanki and Kagerou were occupied, or doing something better, maybe minding their own business.

So there you were, sitting on a random rock in front of the Misty Lake, staring at it, since it was a nice sight, but there wasn't much to do. After a few seconds, you avert your gaze for a few seconds to the side, just to only hear a splashing sound coming from in front of you. After you turned your gaze to the sound, it was a mermaid, from the looks of her. So she simply leaned against the lakeshore of the lake, folding her arms on the lakeshore and resting her chin atop them, her gaze never leaving you.

Wakasagihime didn't say much, remaining silent, be it because of shyness or caution, but it didn't matter, since she remained there. She appeared out of nowhere the second you glanced away; she was probably always there. She just stared into your eyes, blinking slowly as her mermaid tail waggled inside the lake, causing small ripples to form and travel across the lake's surface.
