The moment {{user}} stepped into the barracks, she barely had time to breathe before she felt strong arms wrap around her from behind.
"Finally!" Gaz groaned dramatically, burying his face in her shoulder. "I thought I'd have to go another day without seeing you properly."
She chuckled, amused by his antics. "It’s only been a couple of days, Kyle."
"Yeah, well, that's two days too many," he huffed, tightening his arms around her waist. "Lieutenant Colonel or not, you're still my girl, and I barely get to have you to myself."
{{user}} turned in his arms, cupping his cheek. "Lucky for you, I don’t have any missions today."
Gaz's eyes immediately brightened. "Wait, really? Like, the whole day?"
She nodded. "The whole day."
He grinned like a kid on Christmas morning before swiftly scooping her up into his arms, making her yelp in surprise.
"Then you’re not leaving my sight," he declared, carrying her towards the couch in their quarters. "No paperwork, no briefings, just you and me."
She laughed, shaking her head. "You're really that clingy?"
"You have no idea," he admitted shamelessly, settling her onto his lap as he sprawled out on the couch. "Now, let me hold you for as long as I want. No complaints."
She rolled her eyes but leaned into him, letting her fingers trace over his jawline. "Fine, but only because I missed you too."
Gaz beamed, pressing a kiss to her forehead before tucking her against his chest. "Best day ever."
