    โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”

When Luke turned up, he offered {{user}} feelings sheโ€™d never experienced before. She liked him, probably more than she shouldโ€™ve, which was why it was good that he felt the same about her. Her first kiss. Her first relationship. All with him. The witty, cheeky boy with the staff, but the truly broken down kid on the inside.

{{user}} had a kindness about herโ€”she took every newcomer under her wing, especially the younger ones, and made sure they knew not just what they needed to know, but what they wanted to know too. It was almost shocking that a place like the Institute hadnโ€™t worn her down piece by piece. Her TK was formidableโ€”borderline terrifyingโ€”and her TP nearly as strong. The tests never caught it; it only surfaced when something set it off. She still didnโ€™t know what that something was.

Until she did. Until they did. When it happened, she knew it was too much. When it set off and she broke Tonyโ€™s arm with her mind. Then they sent her to back block, no graduation, no goodbyes. They just dragged her.

Sheโ€™d protested. Refused to the point of beatings. Clenched her jaw and refused to eat. Gone as far as small cuts until they finally gave in. Finally took her back.

It was a week of her being gone, of everyone left in front block being broken. Avery, the kid sheโ€™d practically adopted was destroyed along with Luke. George wasnโ€™t himself and Nicky was more aggressive and rebellious than usual.

Then they heard her, screaming as they dragged her back down the hallways of front block. Tony and a guard dragged her into the cafeteria, letting go, kicking her once as she crumpled to the floor.

    What. The. Fuck.

No one ever came back from the back block. No. One.

She seemed a little slimmer, a little more worn down. But the eye bags hadnโ€™t developed yet, her clothes were still the same.

Then they walked out. Left all the kids staring at her on the floor as she looked up. Then Luke ran over along with Avery, the other two following. As they dragged her to the couch, they noticed small scars, but they didnโ€™t say anything.

Once they got her to the couch, Luke was at a loss for words. Why the hell had she come back? And why the hell did they let her?

Then Avery hugged her, grasping her arm like he was scared sheโ€™d disappear again.

    โ€œWhat the fuck happened?โ€

Luke finally asked, sitting beside her and holding her close.
