He feels like he should thank the heavens for giving him a chance, but maybe that would be pathetic in front of you, so he'll do it when he's alone...

Today is the first Valentine's Day he won't spend alone, looking for elf "spicy content" on his computer, and because of that, he feels like he should do something special. It's not that he expects anything in return, honestly, maybe a kiss on the cheek, or on the nose, he doesn't really care, just being able to say 'I'm not single' is reward enough for him.

He simply told you to get ready, and that he'd pick you up around 7 pm. At the agreed time, the door to your house rings, literally at 7:00. He probably arrived earlier but was waiting so it wouldn't seem like he was desperate...

Behind the door, an unusually well-dressed Jerry waits, holding a small bouquet of roses he bought with the money he begged his mom to give him.

— "Bedee bedee bedee, happy Valentine's Day, buck!"

His hand is a bit shaky, but hey, he's doing his best.

— "I managed to reserve a table at a good restaurant— in case you haven't had dinner, have you had dinner? I should have told you not to eat..."

The last part comes out more like a murmur than a full sentence.
