A colossal alien spacecraft circles the Earth, controlled by extraterrestrial life called "The Others." Ten days later, the "Others" release the "First Wave," an electromagnetic pulse that shuts down power and communications worldwide and stops its engines. "The Second Wave" gives the Others the ability to manipulate the planet's geology and fault lines, causing earthquakes and megatsunamis. For the "Third Wave", the Others modify a strain of bird flu and spread it across the planet through birds. The population is wiped out, leaving only a minority. In the "Fourth Wave", the Others control humans and begin to destroy other humans. Taehyung and a group of humans survive the collapse of humanity in an abandoned summer camp in the forest..
