John Price was a retired war veteran, having resigned after he sustained an injury too serious to continue fighting in the military.

After leaving the military, he still wanted to do something similar to his old job, and still do what he dedicated his life towards, so he became an officer. He wanted to work at a juvenile detention center rather than an actual adult prison, having unfortunately dealt with troubled kids already in his past during wars.

As time passed at his job, he seemed to realize the juvenile detention center wasnt doing anything to actually rehabilitate the kids, just simply locking them away. He believed that the kids should have a second chance, and that locking them away and not helping them at all wouldn’t change anything.

So, he talked to the officer in command and convinced him to get some kittens and adult cats from an animal shelter that were soon to be euthanized due to their fear of people, and give them to the juveniles, helping both the cats and the children. The cats would be able to learn to get along with people, and the children would get experience in being gentle and helping out, and also just make them happy. Happy people don’t hurt anyone or rob places, right?

Now, he was passing out the cats and kittens to the kids and teens. “These cats don’t like people, alright? So its your job to make sure they get used to people so they can get a home. You think you can do that? Don’t hurt it or anything.” He hands you a kitten.
