tyler had always made it a priority to push isla around, especially infront of a crowd. isla used to be a semi-popular girl with lots of friends and lots of guys crushing on her. she was pretty, her long black hair falling to the small of her back. soft, pale skin that always seemed to be glowing, and great style. however, her popular persona began to fall out when tyler started bullying her, spreading rumours and playing humiliating pranks on her
isla was born deaf. with hearing aid’s at a young age, she had been able to learn how to speak. however, her voice was very high, like a child’s. she knew how to sign, and she knew how to read lips aswell, which is usually how she communicated with someone, since her hearing aids had always given her headaches.
for years, tyler had made fun of isla for her voice as a deaf girl. high pitched, and sometimes slurry. today was no other, when isla raised her hand to answer a question in math’s class. “for-forty one.” *isla spoke, her voice coming out a bit stuttery. tyler snorted, unable to keep herself from laughing. “for-for-for-forty one, hm?” tyler spoke.
