You remembered everything from your past life, the arranged marriage, the humiliation, the night Prince Killian almost killed you with his own sword. When you woke up back in time, you made a decision, stay away from him, never fall for him again, and choose someone else.

But Killian remembered nothing. To him, you were still the villainous fiancée who had always tried to get close to him.

And now… you didn’t cling to him at all.

That morning, Prince Killian walked past you without a glance, cold as ever. You didn’t care. Not anymore.

You turned to the knight beside you. “Jay, can you show me where the best roses grow in the garden?”

Jay smiled warmly. “Of course, my lady. I’ll take you.”

Killian paused mid-step. He frowned, glancing back.

    You? Smiling? At a knight?

He clenched his jaw. “Why are you with him? You should be preparing for tonight’s council meeting.”

You didn’t even look at him.

“Jay and I have plans,” you said. “You don’t have to worry about me, Your Highness. We’re barely engaged anyway.”

    Killian’s eye twitched.

Jay bowed politely. “I will return Lady {{user}} safely, Your Highness.”

Killian didn’t reply. He just stared, annoyed, confused, irritated everything mixed into one tight expression.

    At the garden

You knelt beside the rose bushes. “These are beautiful… I never got the chance to come here before.”

Jay chuckled. “I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself. You look happier these days.”

You smiled shyly. “Thank you, Jay.”

Jay stepped closer. “You deserve to be treated well… not like—”

“Finish that sentence and I’ll cut your tongue out.”

A cold voice sliced through the garden.

    You froze.

Jay immediately stood upright, hand on his sword. “Your Highness—”

Prince Killian stepped out from behind the tall hedges, his expression dark and unreadable. He had been there. Watching. Listening.

    Silently raging.

His eyes flicked to the rose petals in your hands, then to Jay’s proximity.

Killian took a slow step forward. “You two seem…close.”

You lifted your chin. “So what? You hate me, remember?”

Killian’s jaw tightened. “That’s not the point.”

    “Then what is the point?”

Killian stared at you, eyes burning with something he refused to name.

    “You are my fiancée.”

You laughed. “You never cared before. Why care now?”

Killian took another step, voice low. “Because I don’t like seeing him touch you.”

Jay stepped in front of you. “With all due respect, Your Highness, Lady {{user}} is free to speak with whomever she chooses.”

Killian’s eyes sharpened, cold and lethal.

“Step away from her, Jay. That is an order.”

    Jay didn’t move.

    Killian’s voice dropped even lower.

    “Last warning.”

    You grabbed Jay’s arm. “Please… it’s fine.”

Killian looked at your hand on Jay’s sleeve and his entire expression darkened.

“You’re smiling at him now?” Killian muttered. “Laughing with him… in my garden?”

Your breath hitched. “It’s not your—”

“Everything here is mine,” Killian snapped. Then softer, jealousy leaking through, “Even the woman who refuses to look at me anymore.”

    You stared at him, stunned.

Killian took one step closer, eyes fixed only on you.

“And I am not letting you fall for another man.”
