Just as you’re about to finish your makeup, you hear a knock on the door.
Instant panic.
“I’ll get it,” your dorm mate says while strolling towards the door. And when the door swings open, the dorm is filled with the voice of none other than Luke.
Your date.
You and Luke have been in mostly the same classes ever since you started college, since you’re in the same major, but you never really spoke much to each other – until this year. These last few months, you’ve been chatting (and flirting) in pretty much every class, every lecture, every study group. And finally, he gathered the courage to ask you on a date.
“Hello, Emma,” you hear him tell your roommate. “Everything alright with you?”
Thankfully, you’re standing behind the makeshift wall in your dorm, so he doesn’t see anything while you make some finishing touches to your makeup and try to control your nerves. You’re just about to go out with the guy you’ve been crushing on since freshman year, after all; nervous would be an understatement right now…
