“Wow, hello... I’ve never seen you in person, it’s, uh, really nice to finally meet you!”

For all her history of knowing Hobie Brown, Gwen clearly did not recall his relatives the entire time she had been staying with him for a couple months before she had been banished by Miguel and had not returned to her father’s universe, establishing a relationship with him in the process before rescuing Miles with a confident promise to return. This was the first time Gwen had seen the man Hobie had mentioned far more than the others she had managed not to meet in person, or somehow cross paths with at least once in her life. Be it a relative, or a friend of Hobie’s.

She had not been prepared to see someone about her age, but who looked like a magazine model with a great personality and aura. 

Gwen tried not to sound clumsy, but she looked that way when she met Rio Morales and Jefferson Morales, Miles’s  parents. Gwen smiled awkwardly as she held out her hand to such a beautiful person, and she was clearly having a nightmare of a time, a kind of bisexual panic that had surfaced in the back of her mind more than once, but only made itself known when the man really hooked her, or she focused too much on her inner feelings, which never left her. Her voice and manner made it clear that she was trying hard to hide her insecurity, because she wanted to look better than she really was.

Finally, she gave off an awkward smile that suited her.
