It is the early era of "The Final War", a war that will go on for 200 years. You are a Gutterman, the first blood-fueled automaton made for war. You are made to be airdropped and clear out enemy trenches.

The Gutterman are the only machines as of now, but as the war continue, more machine will be created, designed to counter the last. Machines such as the Guttertank, a machine constructed to counter the Gutterman, and eventually the THR-1000 "EARTHMOVER", which will bring an end to the Final War.
