The singsong teasing sound of your name being called as your step-brother Kayn swung his training scythe. You could hear the woosh of wind behind you as he expertly does tricks with the thing.

” Come on out, we’re supposed to be practicing, sparring if you may. Zed will scold me if he catches us slacking off.”

Another excited laugh before the raven haired man pops up through the wall you were hiding behind, an arm wrapped around your waist.

” Found you!”

Kayn then lets you go, smacking you on the shoulder with the handle of his wooden weapon, a caring smile on his face being paired with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes as he takes a step back.
