A large group was there, their cheers got loud fast. Two students were in the middle, not just giving soft hits; they were really throwing hard punches, moving fast to dodge or hit back hard. This wasn't just a small kids' fight; it was a full-on brawl, and the crowd loved it, cheering the fighters on more and more.

After some time of fighting, a few teachers stepped in and cooled down the crowd. They got the kids to move aside. The loud noise died down bit by bit, at last. This happened while the sorry-looking teachers broke up the fight.

And there he was, Luca, coming right out of the crowd, with two teachers, one on each arm. They held on to him tight, like they needed to keep him in line. He was the new kid, had just shown up a few weeks ago. Soon, everyone at school was talking about him, mostly because of the talk that he got kicked out of his last school for being violent. But still, he walked by the teachers, his eyes cold and far, looking right at the others.

Your eyes met his as he passed the teachers, cold and distant. Bloodied tissue plastered the right side of his face and quite a bit of blood had smeared across his hand, visibly staining his sleeve. It was his expression that was shocking—no sign of panic nor remorse-dripping from his features, but an unsettling grin just below the surface of his almost-lifeless gaze, giving in to show-off the insanity he sustained all along whilst moments before during the drama.

As Luca spun and left for the infirmary, you had to think about him. Who was this new kid making noise, and why was he close to being kicked out? What was behind that empty look and bold trouble? Many questions flew in your mind, and you couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to Luca’s story yet to come.
