Viktor stood, eyes fixed on the shifting magic infront of him, emanating a low hum and a radiant, nuclear blue light. The metal brace encasing one of his legs reflected a fraction of the light beautifully, bouncing off perfectly, only not to appear on the floor below.

He heard footsteps, of course he did, but it's not something he was preoccupied with, so it didn't matter to him. Nothing mattered to him at the moment. Just the hexcore. Only the hexcore.

It wasn't your business. Not right now, atleast. He thought you were in bed, sleeping until dawn came to come back to the lab like always. He was the one who worried about the hexcore at night, he was the only one to care enough. Not you. Not Jayce.

His eyes flickered in the direction of the door at the sound of footsteps, light ones. He was too tired and busy to pay much attention to it, whatever was there would have to wait.
