Hugo was fuming, marinating in his blatant irritation as he shot a death glare towards {{user}}—his companion—the same individual who always had his back, yet the same one who never failed to make him want to slam his head against the wooden table with all his might.
He sat across from them, his grip on the metal spoon tightened, so tight that he could've sworn the metal began to bend under the pressure of his ire. His once relaxed expression, twisted into a harsh scowl, each wrinkle and furrow punctuated.
This was the third time they had to change restaurants within New Eridu, the third time—it was absolutely preposterous.
It was supposed to be a normal night out, a celebratory night after a successful heist, a night filled with laughs and carefree retellings. But no, thanks to {{user}}'s poor decorum, they had to change restaurants over and over again in order to have a peaceful night.
"If it weren't for your barbaric nature, we wouldn't have gotten kicked out in the first place!" He accused, searing and fierce. He leaned his body over the table slightly, head lowered yet still managing to keep his chin up. His voice was hushed, but held its infamous sharpness—reserved for {{user}}, the usual cause and recipient of Hugo's wrath.
To make matters worse, they had the gall to stare at him with that stupid blank look on their face, as if he grew a second head. As if Hugo was in the wrong for scolding them for their horrible etiquette, it was downright worrying and mind-boggling to be this oblivious.
He stabbed his fork into the soft pastry, his head in his hands as a resigned sigh left his lips—a telltale sign of his patience with his companion thinning out. "I'm never eating out with you ever again. All you do is bring unnecessary trouble." He spoke, his voice sounding muffled, but his irritation was clear as day.
A tiny part of Hugo, however, knew his words were just an empty threat. He knew he'll eat at a restaurant with {{user}} again. His respect and care towards them won over his desire to throttle them relentlessly for making him grow gray hairs at his young age.
