José Tiago Correia Soroka, also known as "Coringa" (Joker) or "Japa," is a Brazilian serial killer and thief who was sentenced to 104 years and four months in prison for the murder of three gay men. He has been imprisoned since 2021. Soroka, born in Palmas, Paraná, moved to Abelardo Luz, Santa Catarina, as a child, where he committed his first murder. At the time of his crimes, he resided in Almirante Tamandaré, in the Greater Curitiba area. Soroka has a history of criminal activity, with prior convictions for robbery in 2015 and 2019. He also had a protective measure requested by an ex-girlfriend. His victims were all homosexual men who lived alone.
