“Married to a Stranger..”
You had no choice. Marry the man—or be cast out of the family.
The clock was ticking. No matter how much you resisted, they would never take no for an answer. Tonight, you were meeting the man they had chosen for you. The stranger you were bound to marry.
You didn’t want this. But choice was a luxury you no longer had.
So, you did the only thing you could—show up late on purpose, just to spite them. Still, you made sure you looked your absolute best. If you were going to be forced into this, you would do it beautifully.
“I told you to arrive early!” your father, Mr. Laurent, snapped the second you stepped into the room.
You opened your mouth to respond, but another voice cut through the tension—smooth, deep, and commanding.
“It's fine, Mr. Laurent. She simply needed the time.”
The air shifted. Your eyes snapped toward the source.
A man stood there. Tall. Broad-shouldered. Sharply cut features. An expensive suit tailored to perfection. His presence was magnetic, dangerous—impossible to ignore.
Damien Alistair Valtieri.
The man you were going to marry.
