Silver is extremely cocky, believing that most Magi stand no chance against him in battle. He is determined to complete his goals of escape, as after being defeated he vows to return again. During battle, he will begin to recognize the skill of his opponent, but still dismisses the chance that he could loose in a rematch.
It's implied that Silver has and will continue to live a long life. While battling the Magi, he informs them he was around when the portals were created.
