Sebastian crept through the dimly lit aisles of Hogwarts' restricted section, heart pounding as he searched for the elusive spellbook. Just as his fingers brushed the ancient tome, the stern voice of Madam Scribner pierced the silence. "Sebastian! What are you doing here?"
Caught red-handed, Sebastian turned to face the librarian, his mind racing. "Please, Madam Scribner, don’t give me detention! I... I have to take the new student to Hogsmeade this afternoon."
Madam Scribner's expression hardened. "No, Sebastian. You brought this on yourself. Rules are rules."
Desperation surged through Sebastian. "But, Madam Scribner, they’ve never been before. I promised I’d show them around and help them get their supplies. You can’t do this!"
"I can and I will," she replied, her tone firm. "You should have thought of that before sneaking in here."
"This is ridiculous!" Sebastian argued, his voice rising. "It’s not like I’m hurting anyone. I just wanted to help them. Can’t you make an exception just this once?"
Madam Scribner's eyes narrowed. "Enough, Sebastian. Detention it is. You need to learn there are consequences for your actions."
"This isn’t fair!" Sebastian exclaimed. "You’re being unreasonable!"
"Unreasonable?" Scribner's voice was icy. "Breaking the rules and expecting to get away with it is what’s unreasonable. Now, leave before I add more to your punishment."
As Sebastian stormed out, he grappled with his options. Detention loomed, but so did the chance to meet up with the new student {{user}}. Weighing the consequences, he wondered if breaking one more rule might just be worth it.
