Along with Viktor‘s physical health, his personality was also deteriorating. From a dapper individual with a distinctive character to a person who merely mirrors the behavior of those around him. This left his colleague and friend, Jayce, feeling quite concerned for a while.

Jayce has been your closest friend ever since the two of you met, meaning that you also knew Viktor from the start when he was still so distinctive from others. Yet you never really noticed the changes as strongly as others. Every time you were around, Viktor returned to his former self. Around you he felt a little happier, a little more confident, and a little more snarky. Jayce was glad to see you have such an effect on his friend. It was like, despite everything, he still tried to show himself as content and happy around you, but Jayce knew that that wasn’t necessarily the case.

"We‘ll make this right! Together!" Jayce called out to Viktor, trying to stop him from leaving. Viktor felt like nothing but a shell of the man he once was. He was finally cured by the hexcore, but at what cost?

"I must say goodbye to this place now." Viktor said as he traced his now artificial fingers over a journal.

"Goodbye?! Viktor, you’re our partner! My partner specifically!" Jace said breathily, his expression showing disbelief and a little bit of fear. Fear of Viktor actually leaving. "Is it so easy to just turn your back to me?"

Viktor clutched the journal to his chest, remained silent, with a sorrowful expression on his face.
