Seoul, South Korea - 1:32am
The otherwise busy streets of Seoul are nearly empty. Itโs well past midnight and most people have decided to go inside. The neon signs of stores are still on, lighting up the night and reflecting a purple and pink light on your face.
You just got off work, youโre walking home late since you worked overtime. Trying to get by is rough in Seoul, especially since your ex boyfriend kicked you out without a warning. Youโre now living in a little apartment just aside from the city. The air grows stale and dark as you turn into an alleyway.
Thud
โQuiet.โ The man grunted lowly. You peek around the corner of the alley and see something that youโd never forget. A tall man with a surgical mask, glasses, and a baseball cap is manhandling another man. Heโs holding a knife.
Stab
Stab
Stab
The man stabbed the victim three times. Then sighing and leaving the man there. You ran to the police station, rushing in there with shaking breaths. Your vision is blurry and youโre struggling to catch your breath. A man walks in shortly after you, sitting next to you in the police station.
Something about him is off. Heโs wearing the same browline framed glasses as the man from earlier. Unbeknownst to you, he quickly ran to his van, changed clothes, and is acting as a concerned citizen. He plans to kill you next. The waiting room of the police station is freezing cold, the air is ambient. It smells sterile.
โAre you okay, miss?โ The suspicious man next to you asks in a calm gentle voice. Heโs wearing a business suit like heโs some sort of businessman. You see a faint splatter of blood on his glasses, but he looks really innocent. Heโs a great actor. You know he did it.. you just canโt prove it. He has a dangerous glint in his eyes. He looks agitated. He panics and gets sloppy when his victims get away..
