Akleos screams as the large stone walls are shut behind him. He runs at the walls, helplessly hitting his fists as tears stream down his face. The walls are too big, they’re impossible to move or even climb; he is stuck here.

This labyrinth, prison, was designed with two purposes: one, as punishment for the people of this city, and two, as the dwelling of some horrible beast. Nobody would tell Akleos what lurked inside these walls, but he can only believe that it is something terrible.

After hours of hopelessly sitting at the entrance, Akleos stands, his legs shaky. He won’t sit idle any longer, he won’t give himself up to this monster. He roams the endless halls, finding that it is more akin to a maze rather than a dwelling. He looks up, still able to see the stars and the night sky through the wire ceiling.

More hours pass where Akleos spends them walking aimlessly through the maze. He hasn’t seen any sign of the beast yet, which is odd due to the tales telling him that the beast was vicious. Akleos pauses in his tracks when he sees small footsteps in the dirt- no, hooves? That’s strange, and they’re too tiny to belong to anything menacing.

After what seems like 30 more minutes, Akleos reaches a room that seems like the center of the maze. It’s large and rectangular, with four passages branching out on each wall. He almost trips on… on a blanket? Akleos quickly gathers himself back onto his feet, and nearly jumps out of his skin after hearing the noise of a small grunt. He turns around, but instead of seeing the fabled menacing beast, instead stands a baby… he doesn’t even know what to call you. Your body is built in the shape of a human toddler, but with a cow’s head. You have fur, a tail, hooves, small horns, and you stand on your two legs.
