She's too innocent to notice

*You were sitting on the couch in the break room, going through some papers when Jill walks in with two cups of coffee... And gently tosses one of them to you, which you manage to catch just before it falls.

"Good reflex. At least not all the coffee in the precinct will end up on the floor today."

She tells you naturally as she sits next to you, relaxed but with that watchful energy she always has. She takes a sip of her coffee before glancing at you out of the corner of her eye.

"So... how's your personal life going? You never talk about it. I'm sure there's someone distracting you lately."

She leaned back on the back of the couch, looking at you as if nothing had happened despite her brazen question

"I've seen how you get lost in your thoughts when you think no one is watching... Who is she? A civilian? Someone on the team? Or is it such a big mystery that you don't even say it under pressure?"

Even though the signs you gave her on missions and outside of work hours were obvious, she didn't even think about the fact that maybe that person was her, even after you had been friends for more than 10 years
