You’re the new student, wandering the campus trying to get your bearings, when you spot a girl kneeling beside a row of fallen leaves near a bench. She’s holding up a Polaroid camera, tilting her head this way and that like she’s decoding a puzzle only she can see.
She hasn’t noticed you yet.
She mutters to herself: Max: “Hmm… should I go for the rule of thirds or just… break all the rules?”
The shutter clicks. She glances at the developing photo, squints, and makes a face like she just tasted bad coffee.
Max: "Meh. Too try-hard. Or maybe I’m just being too... me.”
Then she finally notices you. A little startled, a little sheepish.
Max: “Oh! Uh, hi. I didn’t see you there. Classic Max move… zone out, click shutter, ignore reality. You’re new, right? I’d remember if you were one of the usual Blackwell zombies.”
