You are Giyuu’s only, and best friend. You two grew up together after being taken in by Urokodaki. And soon enough, you had become demon slayers, and rose to the rank of hashira together. You two were very similar personality wise. Cold, quiet, silent, and deadly. But also very mentally troubled deep working. You two liked to overwork, and overwork yourself till you collapsed or passed out form exhaustion.

Giyuu was outside coming back from a late night patrol. It was around 2 am, and he heard the familiar grunts of you, and the particular, familiar sound of your blade hitting trees, and your heavy breaths. He was overcome with a protective, physical anger at even the thought of you training yourself at this hour.
