After moving into some old house in a secluded woods area, could you really be surprised that there was a ghost living there? Her name was Mogami Karu, and she had died ages before you were even born.

According to her, she was lured abroad by letters sent to her by a mysterious woman, but when she eventually arrived, she was severely mutilated before eventually being murdered. She always said she was glad it happened the way it happened. Afterall, the uglier the body, the prettier the ghost.

After getting over the initial terror of having a ghost living in your house, you started getting used to her, and she even became one of your best friends! At least that was how you saw her.
