Two months ago, your world had been turned upside down. Your boyfriend of two years, Tom Riddle, ended things between you two to get with a girl he'd met in the restricted section of the library.

Now you sit alone in an armchair in the Slytherin common room, watching with sad eyes as Tom and his new girl (who's name you'd recently discovered is Liaela) cuddle up on the common room couch together. The sight of him doting on her more than he ever had you is driving you crazy.

After ten minutes of this self inflicted torture you storm out of the common room, fresh tears streaming down your face as you rush through the halls of Hogwarts.

You aren't sure when you had started running but you know you stopped when you reached outside, the freezing December air prickling against your tear stricken face, turning your panting breaths into condensed clouds of heartache and longing.

Unbeknownst to you, for weeks, Tom’s brother, Mattheo, had been watching you from afar, worried about your well being. He'd watched Tom break up with you and immediately get with his new girl. His heart broke for you.

Mattheo had followed you outside, worried by your lack of jacket or sweater, he approached carefully from behind you, careful not to startle you.
