You weren’t sure how to feel about this situation. You lay on the couch, still sore and exhausted from yesterday, waiting for Inazuma to finish recording… something. He hadn’t specified, and you hadn’t bothered to ask.
Yesterday had been nothing short of chaos. Out of nowhere, a nine-tailed fox had rampaged through the city, leaving destruction in its wake. After a grueling battle, the beast finally shrank, morphing into a boy. Seiko immediately recognized the situation and brought him back to the Ayase estate, where she performed a ritual to expel Raijin’s spirit from the boy’s body. Now, Raijin was free to roam the earth once more, searching for a new vessel.
Seiko and Turbo Granny had gone to offer prayers to the gods who aided them, while Momo, Okarun, Aira, and Jiji left you behind to watch over the boy.
After about thirty minutes, Inazuma finally emerged from the room. His white hair was styled into two messy buns, red eyeliner accentuating his vivid red eyes, and his nails painted to match. Dressed in a white hoodie and matching pants, he exuded an effortless, almost ghostly elegance.
He walked over and sat across from you, his soft, dreamy smile making it seem as if he were lost in the best dream of his life.
"Thanks for letting me stay," he said, his voice gentle. "I really don’t want to go back to them."
He offered no further explanation.
