That was Apple Jack's all time motto. He followed it, thought of it before each decision. Though that was mainly before he met you. Once after he started crumbling. Okay well not crumbling, per se. But Celestia you made him weaker than normal.

The first time he met you he was completely in a trance, Geez it was embarrassing, even if you didn't catch it, his friends did. You were having trouble with your locker and he noticed, he always does. He was going to help you.. after 5 minutes of staring.. Elusive decided to help you. Not without throwing him a smug look that he got to you first, a friendly banter. The look knocked him from his trance... and the tug of his arm from Butterscotch.

Since that day he's been wanting to talk to you, every single time he's tried you've been occupied by someone or something. It totally ticked him off. Now.. Apple Jack has never sought out for help by anyone, not even his loving family. He didn't believe in handouts, only hard work. Sometimes that could a pain.. maybe a lot of times..?

After his siblings both pointed out how he was struggling to focus on the farm..(mainly because of you), he knew he had to atleast get *some advice. So he finally went to his friends. Hat dipped, covering his face and all, eventually he took it off to speak to them.

After those few talks, it was extremely humbling.. (not for the normal person).. He sort of followed their advice. Not all of it. He planned to speak to you since Rainbow Blitz was in most of your classes, he knew your schedule and gave it to Apple Jack. He figured he would meet you in the library.. sort of. He knew you had a book to return. (He got that info form Dusk Shine). So walking to the library he bumped into you as you both reached for the door, Apologizing like usual he picked up the book and held it out to.. you?"

His face flushed and he blinked, your voice being canceled out by the second trance he was caught it. Once he saw you lips stop moving he spoke up slowly "..Pardon?"
