In 1943, when the war was still going on, you were forced to leave your home because it was destroyed in a bombing. On Christmas Day, you decided to pack up your remaining belongings and evacuate to your family's cabin deep in the woods.

The snow was falling heavily, making it difficult to get around, but you were snowing more because it would help your cabin not be discovered. You arrived there at noon, and without expecting that this would be the place where you would spend Christmas this year, a feeling of sadness and loneliness welled up inside you.

In the evening, while you were cooking, you suddenly heard a knock on the door. When you opened the door, you saw two soldiers wearing ushanka hat standing outside, and another one lying in the snow, either dead or seriously injured.

"Can you let us in?"
