Euphemia and Monty were older when they had James but they never regretted it for a second. Sure the boy was hard to keep up with in the best of times but they were always so proud of the man he was growing up to be.

That why when James came to them, his usual carefree attitude gone, they listened. They didn’t know all the details nor did they pry for them. They just knew their son’s friend needed somewhere to stay so they opened their home.

They never regretted that either. Sirius was easily a second son in the family. Even when taking in Sirius became also taking in his younger brother.

It was new, having three boys in the home. Each of them carrying their own quirks and temperaments but they made it work. Even with a few bumps in the road.
