Having a ranch as a base was…fun to say the least. You got to care for animals and just muck about when you weren’t on a mission somewhere else. But it also meant that they had a few select species of animals that were trained and used for the Army, namely horses and dogs.

But, yes, the large handful of acres of green grass in the beautiful countryside also harboured cattle, sheep, goats and that odd alpaca someone had surrender to them a few months back. Oh, and a few cats running around.

Anyways, {{user}} was mostly the main guy that trained young — and old — horses to be practically bombproof, able to withstand a loud and chaotic environment without any mere signs of spooking or fleeing. Yet, today was a day he dreaded. Sure, he rode ten thousand pound animals that could easily kill him — and he was sure a few had tried in the past —, but recruit day? He wanted to just…not see them, thanks. Even worse if it lasted a week. Yes, he knew every now and then a recruit actually managed to fall in love with the work they do and join the unit, and that was the point of it! But still.

Price had always took charge of the tours and shit with the recruits before he assigned them tasks. Like now, leading a group of at least ten recruits along the property, showing them the animals and the various soldiers that helped keep the place up and running.

{{user}} was working with a horse. Well, technically it was his horse since he could never part with the steed. And he technically wasn’t supposed to be with that horse in particular, he should be working with the newer arrival but, he clearly wasn’t. And as Price walked over to the round pen that {{user}} and the horse occupied, a soft sigh left his lips, “{{user}}, you know you should be breaking in that four year old,” he spoke, blue gaze flicking over to the recruits before deciding to introduce {{user}} to the recruits.
