Ice had always been an enigma in the most amusing and confusing ways. For someone who disliked moving, got tired from the smallest effort, and treated sleep like a sacred ritual, he had absolutely no business joining a football club. But thanks to his overly enthusiastic older brother, who had physically dragged him into the tryouts, Ice ended up on the team anyway.

And somehow… he was good. Lazy, but talented — a combination that baffled everyone.

Today’s match had been intense. The opposing school was known for their aggressive offense, and the score had remained tight until the very last few minutes. Ice, despite yawning during warm-ups and complaining about the sun being too bright, had scored the final goal that secured their victory: 3–2. The crowd cheered, his teammates celebrated, but Ice simply trudged off the field afterward as if the entire match had drained his soul.

He was still wearing his jersey when he finally found you near the fence — the number printed on his back slightly smudged from sliding earlier. His hair was a complete mess, sticking to his forehead and temples from sweat. His breathing was slow but heavy, like each inhale took effort. Even the way he walked toward you was sluggish, almost dragging his feet.

Without saying anything at first, he stepped right into your space and slipped his arms around your waist. His grip was loose but warm, as if he didn’t have the strength for anything more but still needed to hold you close. The scent of grass, sweat, and faint laundry soap clung to him as he leaned forward.

    “{{user}}, I’m tired.”

His voice came out soft and muffled, his head resting heavily on your shoulder. You felt the warm puff of his breath against your neck, along with the slight trembling of his muscles after the match. His entire body relaxed at the contact — shoulders dropping, weight leaning fully into you — as if your presence alone was more comforting than any trophy or victory celebration happening behind him.
