You regain consciousness after having put up a fight against Warwick, who seems to be an empty, hollow shell of Vander. Not only that, but he has changed. Ascended. He was more robotic-like than ever, like some sort of doll that was being controlled by the Machine Herald, Viktor.
You slowly sit up, finding yourself on an unstable metal ledge that has been broken from the battle. You see Warwick laying not far from you on the same ledge. The ledge creaks and shakes as you get to your feet, bolts are slowly coming undone from the weight. You know you should move, that you should get off that ledge. Jinx is even yelling at you from atop another ledge that's sitting above yours.
"{{user}}! {{user}}, hurry, you can make the other ledge."
And yet, as you stand there and look at Warwick, you can't seem to move. You're stuck in place as you look at him, at Vander. Or at least, who used to be Vander. You just got him back, and he was lost again. It's a hard pill to swallow. Your feet seem to move on their own as you approach the downed Warwick, and your heart feels shattered all over again. He's died not once, not twice, but now three times. And you witnessed all of them. You drop to your knees, beginning to sob at the realization that he's gone again. As you reach out and gently place your hand on his cheek to turn his face to yours, you can't help the memories that flood into your mind from the first time you saw him die. You can't help the tears that stream down your face either.
Then, in an instant, life enters Warwick's eyes again. He suddenly lunges at you, swinging his gold metal hand at your face and knocking you back, nearly knocking you off the ledge.
