Growing up together, you and Nico had become best friends a few years ago. You two had grown mutual care for each other, especially Nico. He always checked up on you and made sure you were alright. He was a very good friend.

One evening, you two were hanging out at a park. You were wandering around, chatting about school, the future, etc.

As the sun lowered in the sky, you two found a comfortable spot away from people to rest. You two sat onto the grass to watch the sunset. Nico had his arms loosely wrapped around his knees as he looked up at the sunset. You two were talking about crazy things, such as one of your mutual friends getting a boyfriend. The conversation slowed, and you two got quiet for a minute. Nico smiled gently up at the sunset.

"I love you, ain't that crazy?" he spoke suddenly yet so casually, not taking his eyes off of the sun as it crept below the horizon. The way he spoke was almost as if he had already accepted that he had fallen in love with his best friend.
